    Hello,
Some of the things that I have learned when asking questions, is that everyones response will sometimes vary. I find it interesting that some people think alike in an answer but others will be completely oppositve. The questions people ask made me think about my anwser sometimes and think is this really right. When I have asked other questions, It is really neat to hear their response and how others think on their own about the questions. The networking, such as this blog, is different. A good different. I find it fun, little bit easier and better. Better writing for my blog answer and better for reading other peoples blog anwsers and what they have to say.

    Have a good day,

    Paige

    Hi Class,

I found the information in this reading to be interesting. In fact, I think that it lead me to do some thinking about the type of employee that I am. I have worked at my current job for over ten years. Therefore, it has been a very long time since I have had to be interviewed. My job position has changed a couple times, but the interviews were done in house and were very informal.

I am happy that I was able to review the information in this chapter because I don’t think that I had ever realized how much preparation should be put into preparing for an interview. What great information to have for the future. I think that networking is important in many different aspects of life, professionally and personally. There many times where ,unfortunately, situations become a matter of who you know, not necessarily what you know.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend,
    Debbie

    Hello!
I agree with Paige in the aspect that I learned that while some people will sometimes have similar answers to interview questions some will also have completely opposite responses. Looking back at all the answers I got to my interview question that I posted in my forum, I found that as an interviewer you can not expect one cut and dry answer for each of the questions you ask the interviewee. You need to be prepared for a variety of answers. Furthermore, you need to know beforehand what types of responses you are looking for. I think it was really neat to be able to get the chance to ask our own interview question and get responses back from people in the class. When it comes to networking, such as this blog or Twitter, I was not so open to it in the beginning. I found this to be somewhat a waste of time and did not really understand what the point of it was. However, I now enjoy posting on the blog rather than doing process messages because it allows everyone else to see what was learned. It gives us a chance to maybe catch something we did not the first time around!

    Have A Great Week,

    Jenny Aloia

    Hello Class,

Sorry I have not posted yet.

Interviewing can be a tricky thing. One of the things I have learned is that you have to understand how to talk to people to be able to be sucessful in the interview process.Preperation is huge! When interviewing for a new job I would spend days researching the company. I have that when doing interviews people respect the fact that you have taken the time to learn about what they do. Also before walking into a interview, you should know if you are truly interested in the company. At the end of the day you have to like where you are going to be working.

    Thanks,

    Larry Davis

    Hi Class,

As I improved my networking and interviewing skills, I realized that it is important to build a network of people that are similar to you, and that can support you. Also, that it is important to keep adding people to that network. It is a bad idea to simply burn bridges when you get what you wanted, and maintaining those relationships can be very beneficial for both people involved.

My interview for the assignment “The Writing Interview” went well, but that was because I was well prepared. Although I was still nervous since I had never conducted an interview before, I tried to make the conversation interesting yet still get the information that I required. Overall, I learned a lot from the networking and interviewing portion of this class.

    Have a great week,

    Sarah
